Florida Georgia Line is officially back.

After announcing an indefinite hiatus in February 2022, Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley reunited on stage Thursday night during the opening night of CMA Fest in Nashville, surprising fans with their first performance together in four years.

The duo made a dramatic entrance worthy of a prize fight, with legendary ring announcer Michael Buffer introducing them as they emerged from opposite sides of Nissan Stadium. Meeting on a satellite stage in the middle of the venue, Hubbard and Kelley launched into their hit “Round Here” before firing up the crowd with their Diamond-certified smash “Cruise.”

Before the performance, Hubbard addressed the audience, saying, “We got three things we want to say tonight. First of all, God is good. Second of all, life is short, and most importantly…” before both he and Kelley shouted, “We back, baby!”

The reunion had been teased throughout the week with mysterious “FGL LFG” billboards appearing around Nashville, along with updates to the duo’s long-dormant social media accounts and website. Fans who texted a number displayed on the billboards received messages hinting that “some things are just better together” and promising more to come.

Since stepping away from Florida Georgia Line in 2022, both Hubbard and Kelley have focused on successful solo careers, releasing their own music and pursuing individual projects. Their hiatus stemmed largely from differing visions about balancing solo ambitions with the future of the group rather than any personal feud.

While the duo has not yet revealed long-term plans for Florida Georgia Line, their CMA Fest appearance officially ends the hiatus and signals a new chapter for one of country music’s most successful acts.
