The Y106.5 Wake-Up Call with Big Red and Dana

Weekday Mornings 6a-10a

Midwest country boy making my way back home. I have been blessed to have a radio career that spans 22 years (man I feel old saying that). When not being an idiot first thing in the morning, I am trying to keep up with my daughter and take in as much local food and events as possible. I love to fish and camp and can smell a bonfire from 10 miles away!  Oh, and I’ve recently taken up song writing. I suck, but it’s still fun!

I have a soft spot in my heart for kids so I always try to help wherever I can, but I love to help with as many charitable organizations as I can. I truly believe in giving back to your community!

Beverage: Peach Shine with sweet tea  Ohhh my gauwd!!!! Soooo good!!

Music: Travis Tritt, Randy Travis, Judds, Luke Combs, Randall King, Ashley McBryde, Jason Aldean

Weekends: Wind therapy on my motorcycle, sports, fishing, sleep, local attractions, sleep, concerts… and I love a good farmers market!

Movies: Scary, Action, comedies and the occasional romance if taken in with the right company 😉

Love me some Red Sox and Chiefs but being in Packer country…I think I could don a Cheese Head and take in Lambeau from time to time.

I was born in Wisconsin and raised in Minnesota, but don’t worry – I’m a proud season ticket and shareholder at Lambeau. And after moving around a bit, I made Wisconsin my home (again) at the end of 2021 because, well, I just really missed my family!!

After getting my degree in broadcasting in 2013, I’ve had the good fortune of working in the sports and entertainment industry, the publishing world, and of course, in radio. All the while, I’ve been side hustling by teaching yoga since 2009… Helping people realize how strong and powerful they really are has always been a motivation of mine.

And when I’m not goofing around with Red weekday mornings, you’ll likely find me with my dachshund (Gizmo) and my better half (Noah) out in nature, reading, or spending time with my parents and brother at a UW Badgers football game or a PGA Tour event. Yeah, I’m a bit of a sports nut!

Favorite food: Popcorn (preferably with some cheese on it)… num num nummmm!

Favorite authors: Ernest Hemingway, Alan Watts

Favorite movie: The Big Lebowski

Favorite word: Serendipity

Nothing like getting interupted, mid-performance, by your toddler. While that's nothing new for most parents... Having a toddler tug on your pant leg every other second to say, "hey, look what I can do!"... it's funny to see it happen to celebs. And a moment like that unfolded when Dylan Scott's young son joi...

The timing couldn't be more perfect. It's nothing new that popular artists, from all genres, have songs released posthumously. But this long-lost Charlie Daniels song was found and released at the perfect time. Just in time for our country's 250th birthday, the song "My Home" was rediscovered and released by ...

As a performer, you have to be ON every day while on tour. As we all know, it's hard to be "on" most days. So it's no surprise to see some of the biggest stars in the country world stepping away from touring from time to time to address their health. Thankfully for Justin Moore fans, this appears to be just t...
