Zach Top is hoping to build on the success of his traditional country revival with the release of two new songs, “Good Girls & Cowgirls” and “Other Side Of Hurtin'”, available now via Leo33. The double single will also be released as a limited-edition 7-inch vinyl on Sept. 25.
The new music arrives after Top’s breakout 2024 album, Cold Beer & Country Music, produced hits including “I Never Lie,” “Sounds Like the Radio,” and “South Of Sanity.” While his 2025 album, Ain’t In It For My Health, didn’t generate the same commercial impact, the singer is looking to regain that momentum with two fresh tracks that showcase both sides of his artistry.
“Good Girls & Cowgirls” is an upbeat, modern take on classic country themes that Top debuted at Montana’s Under The Big Sky Festival, where fans were already singing along by the final chorus. The companion track, “Other Side Of Hurtin’,” offers a more reflective, emotional sound, giving listeners a glimpse of Top’s softer songwriting style.
Both songs were co-written by Top alongside Carson Chamberlain and Tim Nichols and have already become fan favorites during his summer tour.
The release comes as Top continues his Cold Beer & Country Music Tour, which includes a stop at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee on October 16th. He’ll also join Chris Stapleton for select stadium dates later this year.
