Imagine walking into a bar in Key West and one of the biggest names in country music is singing one of his biggest songs with just an acoustic guitar… Well, if you would have walked into the legendary Captain Tony’s Saloon this weekend that’s exactly what would’ve happened!
Kenny Chesney is at home playing to tens of thousands on the big stage in a stadium, but he’s equally at home in a small beachside bar with just a guitar and a mic. Maybe even moreso.
Recently Kenny stopped by the famous Captain Tony’s Saloon in Key West, Florida…picked up a guitar, and started to play. He posted a clip of the impromptu acoustic performance of his hit “You & Tequila” on his socials, saying, “Feeding my creative soul at Capt. Tony’s. Thanks to everyone for allowing me to sit in.” Just a guess, but we’re pretty sure it was no problem for the bar patrons.
