How To Pick The Perfect Watermelon

Summer is here, and one of the best foods to enjoy on a hot day is WATERMELON! I’ll be honest when I started grocery shopping for myself, I had no idea what I was doing. When I would shop with my mom as a kid she would knock on the melons to tell if it was good or not, that’s how her mom taught her. So I would try that, and I swear I would be picking up and knocking on at least a dozen or more fruits, not really hearing much of a difference and just guessing at which one to pick up.

Then I saw something in my Facebook feed a couple of years ago on how to pick up the perfect melon. This way made me look a little less crazy. Instead of knockin’ on them, I am just looking at the size, the shape and color. Once I started picking out my watermelon this way, I have come home with perfect ones every time!
