Blake Shelton isn’t finished with Las Vegas just yet. The country superstar has added eight new dates to his residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, extending his run through May.
The newly announced shows are scheduled for May 6, 8, 9, 13, 15, 16, 21, and 24. The extension comes as Shelton’s wife, Gwen Stefani, and her band No Doubt headline Sphere Las Vegas from May 6 through June 13, allowing the power couple to overlap in Sin City.
Shelton revealed the news Thursday morning in true Blake fashion, making a grand entrance by driving a Kubota tractor down the Las Vegas Strip and pulling up to Caesars Palace’s valet. He waved to fans and shouted, “Welcome to Las Vegas! I’m coming back in May! This is how you do Vegas!” before tossing the tractor keys to a Caesars team member to “check in” for the new dates. (Insiders note Shelton is a Diamond Card holder, so valet fees weren’t an issue.)
The announcement was shared via social media and by Shelton himself, who is also a co-founder of Ole Red Las Vegas, located on Flamingo Road near the Strip.
Two performances remain from Shelton’s original engagement, with limited tickets still available. Presales for the newly added May shows begin Monday, with tickets opening to the general public on Friday, Feb. 6.
With tractors, residencies, and a Vegas takeover alongside Stefani, Shelton is proving once again that he’s doing Sin City his own way.
