Back in January, Luke Combs gave fans a sneak peek of some music he was working on. Earlier this week he teased that the song he performed on Instagram two months ago is now done and in fully produced form. Captioning the audio clip, “Is this heading in the right direction y’all?”, the song retains the emotion of the previous acoustic version but in a much more polished form.
The new tune, that references Luke’s two sons Tex, 20 months, Beau, 6 months, seemed to get an overwhelming approval from fans blowing up the comments section! But maybe the best comment came from his wife. “You can’t just drop this and not tell me,” Nicole wrote on the Instagram post. “Blindsided and EMOTIONAL.” It would seem that Luke not only surprised us with the new track but his wife Nicole was also stunned by the new song
No word on when the full, produced version will be available to the public. We do know that he has been in the studio working on new music, so hopefully we get a new album soon!!
