Kim’s Book Review – Every Summer After

By Kim Carr Jul 7, 2023 | 3:16 PM

Every Summer AfterEvery Summer After by Carley Fortune
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is a perfect summer read if you are looking to go back to your teen/college days. I really like how Carley made the characters relatable. Throughout the book, you think you know what is going to happen chapter after chapter but then there were little twists here and there that just brought everything together and for the most part answered all your questions before the end of the book.
This book made me think about my school days, and how I had someone like Sam in my life and I thought that our bond was strong enough to go the distance. But in reality, it wasn’t and yes I still kinda wonder from time to time what they are up to.
This is also a book that once you get going you really don’t want to put it down, because you are going back and forth between the past and the present.
While some may have not liked the ending to this, I was a huge fan and really hope that maybe down the road we would get a sequel to this book.
I will mention there were some very “adult” parts to this book, but I thought it was done nicely without being too over the top. She really captured all the emotions.
