Saying “We’ve been wanting to play this for so long,” Lainey Wilson was able to check off another box on her bucket list when she and her band played NPR’s “Tiny Desk Concert.” The series features live performances in front of a small studio crowd by artists from every corner of the musical world, and Lainey’s been wanting in for a long time. “This is a big deal for me and my band. We’ve been wanting to play this for so long. We are at Tiny Desk, which is kind of blowing my mind right now. This has just been a bucket list thing for us.” Lainey and her band ran through songs from her new album “Whirlwind” (“Hang Tight Honey, “4X4XU,” “Ring Finger”) as well as “Heart Like A Truck,” which she introduced as “kind of my theme song.” Check out Lainey’s “Tiny Desk” performance below
