As soon as it turned July 5th stores started to markdown summer items and started pulling out Back-To-School supplies. Which is a sign that summer vacation is almost done.
One teacher took to social media to walk parents through school supply shopping. She showed what you should and shouldn’t buy the kids.
Rulers – Just a plain wooden or even plastic 12-inch one is the way to go. Leave the snap bracelet ruler behind. As those could even hurt the kids.
Glue Sticks – Just get the plain glue sticks. You will also save yourself some money too with leaving the colored and scented ones behind.
Markers/Crayons – Avoid the twist-up and scented ones. Again you will save yourself some cash! And a headache of having to replace them within a month or so.
When you are doing your school shopping this year, keep this in mind: Basic school supplies for a classroom are the way to go. The supplies should not be a toy.
