Just when rumors about Riley Green and Megan Moroney were dying down, two new songs on Megan’s upcoming “Cloud 9” album have fans speculating that she’s “Taylor Swift-ing” about a possible relationship with the country singer. On Monday, Moroney shared an Instagram teaser of her forthcoming single “Wish I Didn’t.” One line says “You show up and you’ve got all the right things to say / It’s all sunshine and blue skies / But I can also make it rain,” which more than one fan commented was a direct dig at Green, who had a song in 2024 called “Make It Rain.”
Additionally, during a conversation on Backstage Country this week with Elaina Smith on Y106.5, Megan was asked why her upcoming song “Who Hurt You?” was particularly vulnerable. Megan explained that in that song she “said everything so that she no longer had to respond to questions” about what she vaguely referred to as the “situation.” Things may (or may not) be made clearer when “Cloud 9” drops February 20. See Megan lip-syncing to “Wish I Didn’t” as she teases the track below.
