Oh, my bad… We aren’t supposed to call it a “breakup”.
Even though the duo of Maddie Marlow Font and Tae Dye Kerr are calling off their musical partnership in a very amicable way, it’s still… A breakup.
During an interview with “People” magazine, the two gave the reason behind the split. Tae wants to take a break from music to focus on her family, which is understandable as she’s recently become a mama to two kiddos over the last few years.

So why not call it a breakup? Well, maybe because the door is being left open.
“We’re leaving this so open-ended because, you know, we might make another record one day,” Maddie says. “We might go do some tour dates one day.”
As for Maddie, she’s looking forward to her solo career in the meantime.
