Thomas Rhett just shared one of his most heart-melting family moments yet — the exact instant he found out he’s going to be a dad again.
The country star posted an adorable video of his wife, Lauren Akins, revealing that baby number five is on the way, and the clip couldn’t be more perfectly “them” — low-key, full of laughter, and overflowing with love.
There were no balloons, confetti cannons, or over-the-top setups. Just the family gathered in their kitchen — the heart of any home — as Lauren casually set her phone up on the counter. “Remember the present that we got for daddy?” she asks their oldest daughter, Willa Gray. “It did not come in, but something else did.”
Then, in classic Lauren fashion, she pulls several positive pregnancy tests from her pocket, holding them out to Thomas with a grin.
The reactions that follow are pure gold. Rhett bursts into laughter, bending over in disbelief before asking, “Are you serious?” Meanwhile, the kids have their own priceless responses — Willa shouts, “You’re pregnant?!” Ada James adorably asks, “With who?” and little Lennon Love squints at the test, seemingly trying to spot the baby herself.
Thomas later shared the video with fans, writing, “Finding out about #5. Saw that phone propped up from a mile away and knew Laur was up to something.”
The couple already shares four daughters — Willa Gray (whom they adopted from Uganda in 2017), Ada James, Lennon Love, and Lillie Carolina — and their growing crew is clearly thrilled to welcome another sibling.
This time, though, the proud parents are keeping the baby’s gender a secret until the spring. “There’s something so special about waiting until the day of,” Rhett said, adding that the anticipation makes the journey even sweeter.
While fans are playfully wondering if a baby boy might be joining the family, one thing’s certain: the Akins-Rhett household is already overflowing with joy, laughter, and love — and soon, one more tiny heartbeat.
