Country superstar Luke Combs is giving fans an early treat with the release of a surprise three-song EP, The Prequel, out now via Sony Music Nashville.

While fans have been eagerly awaiting his next full-length album—slated for early next year—Combs couldn’t wait to share a few new tracks.

“I’m still working on my new album that’ll be out early next year,” Combs said in a recent announcement. “But three songs from it are ready now and I couldn’t wait to get y’all some new music, so I’m releasing them this Friday, October 3, as The Prequel. The songs are ‘Days Like These,’ ‘15 Minutes,’ and ‘My Kinda Saturday Night,’ which next year’s tour will be named after. I’ll have more news on that very soon.”

Here’s the full tracklist for The Prequel:

  1. “My Kinda Saturday Night”

  2. “15 Minutes”

  3. “Days Like These”

The release follows a string of major milestones for Combs. He recently made history as the first country artist to headline both Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza, showing his massive cross-genre appeal. And the momentum isn’t slowing down—he’s also set to headline Austin City Limits Music Festival and Country Calling later this month.

Meanwhile, his latest single, “Back in the Saddle”, released earlier this summer, is riding high at No. 5 on the Country Airplay chart and climbing fast—potentially on its way to another No. 1.

With The Prequel, Combs gives fans a glimpse into what’s to come, and if these three tracks are any indication, 2025 is shaping up to be another huge year for the country hitmaker.
