It was quite the honor.
You may not know it, but Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood were longtime friends of the late Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter, so it’s no surprise that they were tapped to perform at the 39th President of the United States’ funeral yesterday.
Sweetly enough, they performed the same song for Jimmy as they did for Rosalynn at her funeral back in 2023.
