Y106.5 - Today's Best Country

Think you’ve seen it all? Imagine booking a backstage tour of your own workplace just to hang out with your family. That’s exactly what country superstar and Opry member Chris Young did this week!
In a move that’s melting hearts across Nashville, the “Young Love & Saturday Nights” singer was spotted swapping his stage boots for a visitor’s pass. On March 23, 2026, Chris decided to give his family the ultimate Music City experience by taking them on an official Grand Ole Opry Backstage Tour.

From Center Stage to the Tour Group
While most Opry members enter through the private artist entrance, Chris and his crew joined the regular tour circuit. The Grand Ole Opry’s social media team couldn’t help but share the fun, posting: “You never know who you might see at the Opry House! Opry star Chris Young dropped by to play tourist for a bit today!”

A Full Circle Moment
For Chris, the Opry has always been a family affair. He first sat in those famous pews as an eight-year-old kid with his family, dreaming of one day standing in “The Circle.” Decades later, he’s not just a member—he’s a guide for his own loved ones, showing them the dressing rooms and the hallowed halls where country music history is made every night.

Want to Spot a Star?
If you’re heading to Nashville, take a page out of Chris’s book:
  • Book the Backstage Tour: You’ll see the 15 themed dressing rooms and maybe even bump into a member grabbing a coffee.
  • The VIP Experience: If you want to feel like a headliner, look into the post-show tours where you can stand right in the 6-foot circle of oak wood taken from the original Ryman Auditorium.

See Him in Action
If you’d rather see Chris with a guitar in his hand than a tour map, you’re in luck. He’ll be back on the clock for the OPRY 100 celebration on Saturday, April 25, 2026.
Chris will also take the grandstand stage at the 2026 Central Wisconsin State Fair in Marshfield on Friday, August 28th! Get tickets and info HERE
