It was an interesting choice of songs, but Eric Church knows his audience. At a stop in Buffalo, New York last week, the singer brought Ella Langley out to revisit a classic rock tune. While Church is known as a big Bruce Springsteen fan, the Boss is very much a New Jersey thing, so Church and Langley stayed true to where they were, and duetted on a performance of the Billy Joel classic “New York State of Mind.” It’s the latest location-specific song Church has performed on tour, joining “Sweet Home Chicago” in that city, “What Made Milwaukee Famous” getting covered here in Wisconsin and John Anderson‘s “Seminole Wind” while on stage in Florida.
