A Tim McGraw concert in Youngstown, Ohio, recently became the setting for an unforgettable moment when a fan proposed to his girlfriend onstage — with a touching tribute to her late mother.

On September 27, during McGraw’s headlining performance at Y-Live, Trenton Lee brought his girlfriend, Selena Marie, up on stage at the Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre. To the crowd’s delight, he got down on one knee and proposed.

Selena said yes — visibly emotional and overwhelmed — as the audience erupted in cheers. McGraw joined the celebration with hugs and even took a selfie with the newly engaged couple.

What made the moment even more meaningful was the ring Trenton used. Earlier this year, Selena’s mother passed away from cancer, and her ashes had been placed into a memorial ring Selena wears daily. Trenton used that very ring for the proposal, saying later it felt like her mother helped him pull it off.

The couple later shared the proposal video on TikTok, set to McGraw and Faith Hill’s romantic song “The Rest of Our Life.” Fans flooded the comments with congratulations, many saying they were moved to tears.

It was a night of music, love, and memory — and one this couple will never forget.
