The new trailer for Blake Shelton‘s singing competition series “The Road” is out, and it reveals (most) of the grand prize that awaits the eventual winner. In it, Keith Urban explains the show’s concept: “Twelve musicians on tour with me, and they are going to have to win over [the audience] to get to the next city.” Gretchen Wilson also appears as the “tour manager” for the series, and chimes in, “We have some very talented people that came to compete, but out here opening for Keith’s audiences is not for the faint of heart.” At stake for the 12 aspiring musicians: $250-thousand and a recording contract. “The Road” premieres on CBS on October 19 at 9PM Eastern, before streaming on Paramount+.
