A playful idea in a Disney Cruise Facebook group evolved into a delightful prank involving dozens of husbands all wearing the exact same shirt to dinner on the same night. One of the masterminds behind it was Mollie Auchmuty, who explains that someone in the group for the dates they’d be cruising shared a video of wives giving their husbands matching shirts for a church event. And from there, the idea took off.
Wives were sharing shirt ideas and links and then they all decided to buy the same shirt for their fellas, a blue button-up with a surfing Mickey Mouse print, that was only $16 at Walmart. Once they were on the cruise, they all had a 5:45 p.m. dinner reservation on the night of the prank. That’s when Mollie’s husband, Mitchell, noticed several other guys wearing the very same shirt he had on, leaving him a little confused.
But the best part was when everyone headed to the ship’s lobby for a character dance party and more and more men showed up in matching shirts. The wives coordinated a meetup and got the guys to pose for a group photo in their matching shirts. A video of the prank has gone viral with more than 2-million views, and it shows them all laughing, smiling and being good sports.⠀
