Carrie Underwood is set to return for her 13th year as the voice of the Sunday Night Football opening theme song on NBC. The new opening number, “Waiting All Day for Sunday Night,” will premiere on September 7th during the Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens game. Underwood will perform the iconic tune from a stage that resembles a big production, with behind-the-scenes moments included in the broadcast. The country singer has been a staple of Sunday Night Football coverage, following in the footsteps of Faith Hill and Pink, who also recorded versions of the theme song.
