Country superstar Luke Combs is back with a new single, “Back in the Saddle,” and he’s bringing some exciting personal updates along with it. The music video features cameos from NASCAR legends Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Richard Petty, but it’s what Combs shared offstage that really caught fans’ attention.
While promoting the single, Combs revealed that he’s lost 30 pounds—a milestone he reached by making serious changes to his diet and lifestyle. In an Instagram Story, he casually mentioned the weight loss, saying, “Obviously, I’ve been working real hard on this record for a long time, and I’ve got this lead single coming out. I’m just jazzed, man. Good day. Great day to be alive. Kid’s down 30 lbs. Lot of hard work. Lot of missed cakes on birthdays.”
He added, “I just wanted to say that I’m real thankful for you guys. I’m real thankful for this next phase of whatever the music is or turns into.”
This isn’t the first time Combs has opened up about his struggles with weight. In a 2023 interview on The Joe Rogan Experience, he shared, “I think my physical fitness, and my appearance, and my size has always been something that I struggled with, from the time I was a child. And it’s this thing that I feel like if I don’t overcome it in my lifetime, it will be my biggest regret, without a doubt.” (Check out that video below)
Now, with a new single climbing the charts and personal goals being met, fans are cheering Combs on—whether it’s in the studio or in his health journey. Congrats, Luke! This is the only way fans want to see less of you.
