Bailey Zimmerman paused his headlining performance at Country Fest Ohio in North Lawrence on June 12 after noticing a fan had fainted in the crowd. The Illinois-born rising country star, currently on his New To Country Tour, immediately stopped the music at the end of a song to ensure the fan received help.
“Hey, let’s cut it real quick…” Zimmerman told his band, urging them to stop playing. “We take safety really, really seriously here, y’all. So we just want to make sure somebody’s alright over here.”
Zimmerman, 25, then led the crowd in a heartfelt moment of prayer. “God bless all y’all, man. You guys stay safe out there, alright? If you wouldn’t mind, you want to do a quick prayer for everybody real quick?” he asked. The audience responded with cheers and bowed heads. The moment was captured on video and quickly went viral on TikTok.
The festival, which drew more than 100,000 fans, featured performances from major country acts like Dierks Bentley and HARDY. Once Zimmerman confirmed that medical personnel were attending to the fan, he resumed his set—reaffirming his commitment to community, safety, and faith.
