“The Voice,” Jelly Roll, and Oregon State Penitentiary…not a trio you might expect, but it happened. Season 24 “The Voice” finalist Jacquie Roar got to meet and perform with Jelly Roll, one of her biggest influences, when she was invited to perform with him at the Oregon State Penitentiary for a group of level three inmates. The inmates were charged with minimal crimes and had been on “exceptionally good behavior.” Roar says she asked Jelly to sing “Need A Favor” with her for social media content, and he responded by saying “Well, we don’t need to do it for content. Why don’t you get on stage with me and sing with me?” She said her reaction was a very relatable “What?” She got both, as the video her their duet has already gotten over 2,000 likes on Instagram.
