2023 was the year of throwing things at performers on stage, and several were hurt. Most memorably was Bebe Rexha, when she was hit with a cell phone that cut her brow open and blackened her eye. Kelsea Ballerini was hit in the face with a bracelet, and Kane Brown caught a boot to the groin. Things have gotten somewhat better in 2024, but it’s still happening – though, thankfully, the items are a bit less likely to injure someone. Morgan Wallen was at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota when he was hit in the face – by a thong, thrown by a fan. Morgan, obviously uninjured, caught the thong before it fell to the ground, never missed a beat, and threw it back to the crowd on the other side of the stage. We’ll say it again: stop throwing things at performers, even undergarments.
