Eric Church’s “Chief’s” bar on Broadway was the scene of the recent, and already infamous, Morgan Wallen chair throw which ultimately led to the singer’s arrest.
Wallen was charged with three felony counts of reckless endangerment and one count of disorderly conduct after throwing a chair from the sixth-floor rooftop.
He was lucky he didn’t hit anyone… But almost hit a few Nashville cops who were standing down below on Broadway.
Well, it seems Chief’s has finally released a statement following the incident. And it seems to be poking fun at what transpired.
The message on the marquee initially promoted Rodney Scott’s Whole Hog Rooftop BBQ. The marquee was updated to “Our pigs fly. Our chairs don’t.”
Say what you will, but it seems a tad too soon… Since Wallen could be facing some serious jailtime for his stunt. We’ll see if this is one we can all just laugh off in the coming months.
