“Everybody Get Along,” a duet by Justin Moore and Riley Green, is a real country hit waiting to happen.
Moore wrote the song with David Lee Murphy and Jeremy Stover. In the catchy sing-along tune, Moore and Green play the roles of two friends who have different interests but are friends because of shared kindness and have lived through similar things.
Moore and Green trade tongue-in-cheek lines in the first verse, giving listeners a taste of the friendly competition between the two friends. However, that difference doesn’t last long as the country boys join in unison on the chorus.
The song ends with a hat-tip to Waylon Jennings and Hank Williams Jr.’s “The Conversation,” which aficionados of traditional country music lovers will recognize. “Everybody Get Along” is on Moore’s forthcoming album, Stray Dog.
