Morgan Wallen sure knows how to kick off a year and that is with a tease of some new music. He posted on the ‘gram a little snippet of a demo labeled “Keith Whitley Ref 1 Jan 6.”
This new song starts off with some familiar lyrics, “I’m no stranger to the rain/It starts rainin’, I start pouring, I’ll take hurtin’ like hell in the morning over feeling this way… there ain’t a mirror in this house anymore.” Of course, these lyrics reference Whitley’s songs “I’m No Stranger to the Rain,” and “I Never Go Around Mirrors.”

This isn’t the first time that Wallen has shared his love for Keith Whitley. He also posted a video of him singing “Kentucky Bluebird” before Christmas.

Maybe we will hear Wallen play these when he is out on his One Night At A Time World Tour that kicks off in March and will bring him to Milwaukee for two nights.
