I’m not crying… Are you crying??
I’ll admit, I’m your stereotypical “dog mom” and any time anyone expresses love for their pooch, I can’t help but jump on board… and I’m definitely good for getting a little emotional!
But I’ll also admit some people do take loving their pets a little too far. Like, if your dog has a more refined wardrobe than you… You might be flirting with the line there.
And I was a little worried Kenny Chesney’s new song, “Da Ruba Girl,” would flirt with that line of doing a little too much for your dog. But after listening, and reaching for the box of tissues, I had to share it. The song is an ode to his late rescue pooch, Ruby.
And it isn’t just a song about a rescue dog that clearly left its mark on Chesney, it’s also an opportunity to help other rescue pups out there!
All proceeds from the song will help other dogs by going to the Stray Rescue of St. Louis. Currently, right around $1,500 has been raised.
