BMI Country Awards were recntly held which recognizes the songwriters and publishers behind the 50 most-performed country songs of the year. During this years ceremony they also celebrated Toby Keith and the 30-year anniversary of recording his 1993 hit “Should’ve Been A Cowboy,” as he received the BMI Icon award for the honor.
To honor Toby, Eric Church performed a stripped down acoustic version of another Toby Keith classic “I Love This Bar”. Someone recorded a portion of the performace and uploaded it to Twitter! Check it out below…
