If you’ve been glued to the TV for the 2022 World Series, you may have noticed a familiar face in attendance at the Philadelphia Phillies and Houston Astros game last night… None other than Tim McGraw!
In a heart-warming moment, the country star is seen on the jumbotron repping a Frank Edwin “Tug” McGraw Jr. Phillies jersey, while rooting on his home team.
Now, I was yesterday years old when I learned Tim’s father, Tug, was a famous relief pitcher for the Phillies back in the 80s (and that he even helped them win their first World Series Championship back in 1980)!
McGraw had the whole family in tow, including wife Faith Hill and the couple’s three daughters, Gracie, Maggie, and Audrey. And the fam had a lot to cheer about, because the Phillies trounced the Astros in an aggressive 7-0 win, putting the Phillies at a 2-1 lead heading into game 4 tonight.
