During one of his recent Farm Tour stops, Luke Bryan was singing “Drink A Beer” and as he does at every performance, he dedicates it to anyone in the crowd experiencing the loss of a loved one. Well one little girl was enduring maybe the hardest loss of all. She was holding up two signs, one about suicide prevention month and one about how she misses her Mom and Dad. According to a comment, she lost her father, and her stepsister lost her mother, to suicide.
The signs got Luke’s attention and he didn’t say anything but his actions spoke very clearly what he was feeling. He had some stage hands help the girl, who was in tears, up on to the stage and Luke just embraced this little girl and gave her the BIGGEST hug! He never said said anything about the girl over the microphone but he didn’t have to. You can tell that he was feeling what this young girl was going through and the two just embraced on stage. It had me a little choked up watching it and I hope it helped this little girl deal with her pain, even if it was just a little.
Hats off to Luke for being such a good guy for doing this and it just goes to show that he is a genuinely good guy!
