Baseball May Look A Little Different This Year

By Kim Carr Apr 14, 2020 | 2:57 PM
If you ever wished that the Milwaukee Brewers and the Chicago Cubs would get out of the same division, that may just happen. There has been talk that the MLB season could remove the American and National League this year. Instead it would use the Spring Training leagues: Grapefruit and Cactus as the replacements.
If that were to happen this is how it would look according to a report by USA Today:
GRAPEFRUIT LEAGUE
  • NORTH: New York Yankees, Philadelphia Phillies, Toronto Blue Jays, Detroit Tigers, Pittsburgh Pirates.
  • SOUTH: Boston Red Sox, Minnesota Twins, Atlanta Braves, Tampa Bay Rays, Baltimore Orioles.
  • EAST: Washington Nationals, Houston Astros, New York Mets, St. Louis Cardinals, Miami Marlins.
CACTUS LEAGUE
  • NORTHEAST: Chicago Cubs, San Francisco Giants, Arizona Diamondbacks, Colorado Rockies, Oakland Athletics.
  • WEST: Los Angeles Dodgers, Chicago White Sox, Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Indians, Los Angeles Angels.
  • NORTHWEST: Milwaukee Brewers, San Diego Padres, Seattle Mariners, Texas Rangers, Kansas City Royals.
Personally, I would be okay if this were to happen. It would be nice to see Chicago and St. Louis out of our way at least for a bit.
